The Employability Training Programme is Back!

FareShare North East’s Employability Training Programme, delivered by Jason Meek, is back!

This Summer two employability training programmes (Warehouse and Logistics) will be delivered in two locations – at our warehouse in Westerhope (Newcastle) and in our new Teesside warehouse – Tees Food Hub. If you are interested, please see below for more information.

Teesside Programme (starts 30th May)

Based in our new warehouse (Tees Food Hub) at 4 Cannon Way, Middlesbrough, TS1 5JU. The programme includes the following:

  • 7 week programme that supports and enables people to gain valuable industry specific work experience and qualifications.
  • 3 days per week in a fast & dynamic operational environment.
  • The opportunity to gain the following qualifications:
  • CITB CSCS Card and L1 Award in Health and Safety in Construction.
  • NCFE Warehouse & Logistics L1 & L2 and RTITB Industrial Reach FLT course.
  • Essential digital skills EL3 & L1.
  • Employment coaching, updated CVs and references.
  • Wellbeing and life skills workshops plus onsite wellbeing support.
  • All necessary PPE, travel expenses (public transport only) and learning materials are provided.
  • Post programme support to gain further industry experience or further skills training.

Tyne & Wear Programme (starts 5th June)

Based in our warehouse on Stamfordham Road, Westerhope, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE5 5HH. The programme includes the following:

  • A 6 week programme that supports and enables people to gain valuable industry specific work experience and qualifications.
  • 3 days per week in a fast & dynamic operational environment.
  • The opportunity to gain the following qualifications:
  • NCFE Warehouse & Logistics L1 & L2 and RTITB Industrial Reach FLT course.
  • Employment coaching, updated CV’s and references.
  • Wellbeing and life skills workshops plus onsite wellbeing support.
  • All necessary PPE, travel expenses (public transport only) and learning materials are provided.
  • Post programme support to gain further industry experience or further skills training.

Eligibility

Eligibility to attend either programme is that you must be:

  • Aged 19 + (as of 31st August 2022)
  • Unemployed and in receipt of benefits
  • Resident in the UK for at least the last 3 years
  • Evidence of right to live and work in the UK (Passport; Birth Certificate, etc.)
  • Evidence of residing at a postcode in one of those areas.
