Corporate Experience Days

Interested in organising a volunteer day for your staff? Sign up to one of our Corporate Experience days!

What is a Corporate Experience?

A volunteering day at FareShare North East will get your team out of the office environment and into a busy warehouse, all while helping a charity get food to people in need.

Corporate volunteering is a great way to show your company’s commitment to the charitable sector and focus on team building. A volunteer session at the warehouse will be fun, physical and a rewarding experience that will give your team an insight into the world of food surplus and food poverty.

What should we expect?

We accept groups of 6 people per volunteering session with sessions running from 9:30am-1pm.

From 9am, the day starts with a warm welcome and a tour of the warehouse and health and safety briefing. Your volunteering shift could include the following:

  • Working in our warehouse to help staff and volunteers sort and pack food deliveries
  • Assisting loading food onto FareShare vans
  • Being a drivers mate – helping to deliver food across the North East (these shifts start at around 7:30)

At 1pm – 2pm, your volunteering experience finishes, however, please note that time may vary if you are on a van due to traffic.
