Great North Runners raise over £5000!

A huge congratulations to our amazing team of runners who completed the Great North Run this year for FareShare North East!

Our 12 brilliant runners took on the 13.1 mile journey from Newcastle to South Shields, with volunteers, corporate partners, supporters and friends of FareShare North East all joining the team, alongside our very own CEO, Jake Hanmore, and Operations Supervisor, Sarah Mayne.

Together, they have raised an incredible £5,000 and counting, helping us distribute the equivalent of more than 43,000 meals to charities and community organisations supporting people across the North East.

Behind every mile were months of training, fundraising and dedication. We’re incredibly proud of, and grateful to, every member of the team for taking on this challenge and helping us turn surplus food into support for local communities.

And, of course, a massive thank you to everyone who donated, shared our runners’ fundraising pages or cheered them on from the sidelines. Every contribution has helped make this fantastic achievement possible.
