Jane Tiplady - Chair
Jane is proud to serve as Chair of the Trustees at Fareshare North East, a role she holds alongside her position as a senior manager at Bidfood. With a passion for reducing food waste and supporting vulnerable communities, Jane brings both professional insight and personal commitment to the charity. She’s driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to good food, and works closely with fellow trustees, Jake and the Senior Leadership team to help the grow FareShare North East’s impact across the region. Jane’s experience in the food industry gives her a unique perspective on how businesses and charities can work together to create lasting change.
Antonia Brindle
Antonia is a seasoned leader, strategist, and advocate dedicated to championing good causes in the North East. With a career spanning marketing, entrepreneurship, crisis management and board level roles, she brings creativity and purpose to everything she does. As founder of Get Brindled, a full-service marketing agency, Antonia helps people and organisations show their audiences “how great they are”. Antonia serves as a Non-Executive Director, Advisor and Board Member across sectors and on a number of charities in the region. She was keen to join the board of FareShare North East to assist with this period of growth where the charity’s social impact on reducing food waste and eliminating food poverty will increase.
Cat Duhaut
Cat is an experienced business leader and award-winning event professional with over 18 years’ experience delivering major projects across the UK and Ireland. She co-founded BeaconHouse Events in 2014, helping it grow into one of the North East’s leading event agencies. As Director, she oversees operations, team culture and event quality, championing excellence, creativity and purpose. Her portfolio spans corporate, public, academic and creative sectors, from large-scale festivals to international conferences. Known for her calm leadership and strategic approach, Cat is a passionate advocate for wellbeing and sustainability in the events industry. She joined FareShare North East’s board to support meaningful, long-term change in her community.
Cath Mitchell
Cath has always had a social conscious and brings over 40 years work experience in public and charity sectors to her Trustee role. As a DWP operational manager and corporate services manager she was responsible for delivery of business planning, HR, training, performance management, financial management and commercial contracts. With DWP she became a qualified Project Manager acquiring knowledge and skills in project planning, risk management, evaluation and commercial procurement. Cath’s more recent experience within the charitable sector has allowed her to understand the challenges of service delivery within an uncertain funding landscape.
Craig Bankhead
Craig is Chief Executive of Gateshead 50+, a charity dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing, and social connection of older people across Gateshead. With a strong background in community development and charitable leadership, Craig brings extensive experience in partnership working, strategic planning, and programme delivery within the voluntary sector. He has served as a trustee of FareShare North East since 2016, supporting the organisation’s mission to reduce food waste and tackle hunger across the region. Craig is passionate about ensuring that local communities thrive through collaboration, fairness, and the equitable distribution of resources, and he is committed to using his experience to strengthen both the governance and impact of FareShare North East.
Harry Barham
Harry is a committed professional with extensive experience in the food-charity sector, currently serving as Area Manager for FoodCycle in the North of England. He has led volunteer teams to deliver community meals and safe gathering spaces, supporting those facing food insecurity. Beyond his leadership role, Harry is an ambitious fundraiser. In 2025 he will run 10 half-marathons (over 130 miles) to raise funds for both FoodCycle and FareShare North East. His dedication to the intersection of food-waste reduction, community resilience and social enterprise reflects his mission-driven mindset and capacity to lead changemaking initiatives, using technology and his passion for clear communication to do good things for good causes.
Matthew Stephenson
Matthew is an experienced food industry leader and Managing Director of Sweetdreams Ltd, part of the SugaRich Group – the UK’s largest food waste prevention business. With a career focused on sustainability and innovation in food manufacturing, he has led the transformation of surplus food streams into high-value consumer products, championing the “food not feed” movement. Matthew brings strategic expertise across operations, commercial growth, and social impact, with a deep commitment to tackling food insecurity and reducing waste at source. As a trustee, he aims to support FareShare NE in expanding its reach, improving efficiency, and building stronger partnerships across industry to deliver greater impact for vulnerable communities.
Molly Dunne
Molly has worked within the social housing sector for over 10 years. Her background is in managing the delivery of money advice to Newcastle residents and coordinating organisational responses to challenges posed by welfare reform. Having worked first hand with clients she has an in-depth working knowledge of welfare rights and debt advice. Molly has a thorough understanding of how welfare reform and the cost of living crisis have impacted households and how organisations have had to adapt to ensure people receive suitable support in challenging times. Prior to joining FareShare North East, Molly saw first hand in her day job the positive contribution they made to our communities.
